Pinterst and Chess

As some of you may know, I have a Pinterest board for Bookania. Some of you may also know that Robin and Eric, characters of Bookania, love playing chess. So it would be safe to assume that I have some chess-themed pins on my board.

  1. I have never been able to wrap my mind around Chess (not that I've ever tried very hard) but these quotes are amazing. May favorites are 4, 6 and 7. And 5. That is soo cool!

I've been wondering, how do you choose which words Doranna (mis)uses? Is it just random? Also, how did Pearis's hair become gray? You get the impression that some how Meg died it, but HOW?

    1. There is a small science to Doranna's speech. First of all, she mostly misuses nouns and verbs, but never anything that has anything to do with numbers - including unites of time or measure. When I choose a word for her to say instead, it's usually one that starts with the same letter or rhymes.

As for how Meg did Pearis's hair ... well, trade secrets.

  2. I love these. Chess is a wonderful game. I like the way she does it with Edward. I used to play a lot of chess variants. I've gone back to the pure form in the last year and a half though. Probably because I was looking forward to the chance to play against a champion.

  4. LOL, the only time I've won at chess was when my brother let me. :-P Never did have a head for strategy....

The Queen has always been my favorite piece, though, as she can move pretty much any way she jolly well wants, mwahaha.

Love the quote about love being like chess. So cool. :-D

    Party on! *Confetti*

  5. These are really awesome. I've never fully understood chess, though.
