Maryanne and Pinterest

Hola! Maryanne here again! Kendra's off busy getting ready for the cover reveal tomorrow. So she's letting me talk again. And post pictures. Of me of course, because Kendra just loves pinning pictures of me.

And now's the part where you get to tell me all about your favorite ones. Mine are the ones with my brother, Peter, because I'm such a great big sister. Don't ask him to verify that one, though, because he likes to tease and say I'm not one.

Anyway.

You can also head over to Jenelle's blog where she interviewed Madeleine. Jenelle's a great author. She has a character who shares my name - my first name, that is, the name I don't use. Dylana. Except she adds a second 'n' for some reason and makes it Dylanna. Confusing, I know.  Anyways.

Cover reveal tomorrow. I'd be more excited if it were my book, which Kendra still hasn't written yet... but since this is the book Kendra's been working on for over ten years, I suppose she has a right to be excited right now.

  1. Hey Maryanne, thanks for sharing all the pictures. I think my favorite is the one where you're holding a tiny dragon... or the one where you're standing in the water... or possibly the black and white one of you as a little toddler... you were SO CUTE! I am very intrigued to know if there are any stories behind those pictures :)

I added the second "n" before I met you. But Dylanna says she is honored to share a name with you, and thinks it's a good thing that it's spelled differently so that readers will know which one of you is being talked about if there's ever a cross-over-fan-fiction written where you both get to be in the story. (She's practical and far-sighted that way) haha

Had a blast having a chat with your great*-aunt (she's your great-something aunt, right? I think I have that correct).

    1. Great-something is correct. Maryanne would like to point out that she almost never goes by her first name so confusion would probably be a non-issue.

Um, stories behind the pictures... there is a story behind the dragon. I don't know anything for certain about the water, but given that I actually have two pictures of her in the water in that very dress, it probably will happen at some point. And does there NEED to be a story for the black and white one? She was too cute for her own good. End of story.

    2. Good point :)

I mostly meant stories behind the dragon and water pictures. Obviously cuteness needs no back story or explanation... though a story/flashback about precocious young Maryanne at that age would always be welcomed by your fans :)

    3. Books 4-6 have Maryanne from nearly a year to two and a half. You'll get some precocious Maryanne.

  2. Gutten Abben, Maryanne! (Forgive me if I spelled that wrong; my gifting is *not* foreign languages, LOL.)

Favorite pix? Hmmm...it's hard to choose because they're all cute or intriguing in one way or another. But just off the top of my head:

~"Look, Daddy! The Dragon egg hatched!" (So you're the girl with the pet Dragon. Cool!)

~You holding Baby Peter. So cute! (Fun fact: I have a "baby" brother named Peter, too!)

~You in the red dress, looking too adorable for words.
(The one below it is adorable, too, but I already voted for it in your parents' picture post.)

~You holding some poor fellow at knife-point. I'm sure there's an interesting story there....

~You and your pet rabbit/hare (whom Kendra says is supposed to have horns, if I remember correctly).

    Fun, fun!

    1. Yes, she's the girl with the pet dragon. Ysga was referenced in her character encounter.

I named Peter after the Narnian Peter, by the by. I wanted to give Robin and Eric a son, and the name just popped into my head as perfect and "Hey, Kendra, you like this name and you've never actually used it yet..." She and Peter are two and a half years apart.

Ah yes, her being too cute for words. Wouldn't you know she probably got her own way?

There probably is an interesting story.

      It's a jackelope. Named Kanichen.

  3. What were you doing int he river?

Now I want a little pet dragon even more!!

Awww!! The two of you are adorable!

Yikes! I'm glad I'm not the person under that knife!

Could anyone resist you when you looked at them in that sweet way?

    Daddy and his little girl!

Hmmmmmmm...I wonder what could be going on there!

Sword fighting with Mum! Looks like a ton of fun!

    Another adorable baby picture.

What did he do that got him sat on with your knife at his throat?

How many different kinds of pets do you have?

I have a feeling that in the last picture, someone said something that they might regret!

    My favorite pictures? Numbers 2, 4, 6, 8 & 11. Plus the quote.

    1. I have no idea.

Same. Except that Maryanne gifted me with a dragon two years ago at my last blogoversary party.

      They are.

Technically, he's not under her knife. Yet. One wrong word...

No, no one could. She was a political ambassador from an early age. Her uncle valued her presence during all negotiations.

Yes!! Eric is going to be such a great daddy. He really is.

I'm not entirely certain, but I get the impression that she is subtly teasing him and he hasn't realized it yet.

Maryanne loves swordfighting with her mother. Good exercise and all.

      Indeed. She was so adorable...

He was either impeding her progress on a quest or he said something that she took offence at. Take your pick.

      Just two. Kanichen and Ysga.

      'Tis quite possible.
