The Sword in the Stone

Today I'm going to share with you a movie that had a lasting effect on my childhood - particularly in how I clean my room and pack to go places.

According to my mother, I spent about a month as a kid watching this movie, then running upstairs to my bedroom to see if I could replicate the above scene. Even now, my cleaning/packing process always begins with the attempt ... Unfortunately, the song doesn't work ... but maybe, just maybe, I'll figure out how to do it. Until then ... um ... why don't we just move on and not discuss the mess my room is in or the fact that I always procrastinate until the last second to pack.

On another note, I've been singing the Bibbidy-bobidy song in pumpkin patches in an attempt to get myself a car ...

I really don't have much more of an impression of this movie. I do enjoy the ending scene though. It's rather funny. And I did kinda reference the fish scene in Do You Take This Quest?

These posts are in promotion of the newest book of the Bookania Quests, My Kingdom for a Quest, coming out February 14th. Click here if your interested in lending me your blog for the blog tour - I still have several open slots, particularly the last few days!

  2. She also built herself a rocket after reading "Mushroom Planet" and regularly takes trips that she holds the younger kids spellbound when she tells them of her adventures. ... Typical life with Kendra. ;)

  3. So... I just finished a fabulous book, and am now in desperate need of acquiring the sequel. Perhaps you've heard of it? :)

Sew, It's a Quest was a truly marvelous romp through reading-land. I loved all the different fairy tales and legends you wove into it (I'm a bit partial to Robin Hood), and as an avid love of all things Arthurian.... I now absolutely cannot WAIT to read your newest book in this series... but first I have to read the second book.

Thankfully, I have a little Christmas $$ to spend on books! :) Huzzah!

    1. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! Frankly, I'm partial to Robin Hood myself, and I can't wait to get into some of his backstory in book 4.

  4. Oh, and, funnily enough, my kids just watched this movie right before Christmas when we were all battling the plague. Fun times.
