I think having a published book has been a goal of mine for so long that it's how I've defined "author" - so of course I'm an author by that definition. Could be my personality style coming out too. But I think a big part of it is that I tend to call myself according to my idealism and not by reality: i.e. I'm abiding in Christ (even if I stumble or don't feel like I am), I'm an editor (regardless of whether people hire me), I am complete in Christ (even if today is a total mess), and so forth. Speaking the truth regardless of whether or not I feel it is a step towards having it become real in my life. M.S off at proofreader/editor. Very nerve racking. I've been waiting 20 years for my 'season'to arrive so I don't want to submit something below par.
