And now for the overall winner.

Drumroll please.

Me.

Seriously! I must have written at least half a million words with all of this posting that I've done throughout this e-Con! Would you like to know how badly my hand is cramping????

Okay, fine, let's have the real winner.

Savannah Grace
With 21,708 words.

And in second place we have:
Hannah Rogers
With 17,900 words!

(And Hazel West at a close third with 17,684, but we're not counting third)

Savannah, I'll need you to email me at kendraeardnek@gmail.com with your choice of prize - whether a discount from Rivershore Publishing, or a discount from Kelsey Bryant. Hannah, I'll get in contact with you about which one she doesn't choose.

You guys were all amazing, though, and together clocked in 85,626 words! That's a decent-sized novel, folks!

Enjoy word-warring? Each month, Faith Blum hosts a word war on Facebook - and for Camp NaNo, she actually has two next month. Check them out here:

  1. YES, word wars! I love these so much - I'll be on here off and on today, if anyone wants to war at some point ;).

  2. Ok, Kendra - do we always have to be warring with another person to have the words count as part of our daily wordcount? Or can it be a beat the clock kind of thing? Just wanted to make sure that I only give you wordcounts that qualify, if that makes any sense ;).

    1. Wordcounts that qualify: ANY AND ALL WORDS THAT YOU WRITE THIS WEEK. I'd prefer it if it's in a novel, but if you want to count words that you wrote for a blog post, you're welcome to do that. (I've done that.)

The mini-wars and sprints are optional, and only if you want to. They're for motivation.

    2. Awesome, thank you! I'll probably be counting the words that I write for my novel's outline, if that's alright ;). Thank you for this, by the way! It will be a great way to get me to actually FINISH my outline, haha.

    3. Oh, this is so cool! Yeah, I think I'll race against myself and count how many words I can get in. Thanks for organizing this!

    1. Ooh! Can you give me the link to that so I can put in the main post with Write Deck?

  4. I'm definitely joining in on this, I really need to get to work on a new story so I'm going to use this as my incentive haha ;)

  5. Ooh, word war.

Quick question: do we have to be working on the same story continuously? For example, if I have two WIPs and I work on one in the morning and one in the afternoon, can I use the combined total for the word war? Or if I work on one WIP Tuesday and Wednesday, but on Thursday I end up working on a different WIP, is that ok?

    Thanks!

    1. Nope. As long as you keep track of your word count, I don't care what those words were used on, as long as it's productive writing.

    2. Cool beans. Not even going to bother posting yesterday's WC, because it was pitiful, but hopefully today I'll have time to get a decent bit in. (Unfortunately, Indie Con ended up coinciding with the busiest week of my semester thus far. :P)

  6. By the way, when do we find out who had the highest wordcount for each day (not in all - just for individual days)? At the end of each day, or at the end of the Indie E-con? I'm curious to see ;).
